Zhedong White Goose is classified as Shaoxing White Goose breed, the geese are bred in Eastern Xiangshan, Ningbo, Zhoushan and Shaoxing area. The production areas are crossed with rivers, lakes and ponds. It has adequate water and grass resource. In the ancient times, this area has been a place for wild geese to rest on their way. Wild geese were caught by local residents, after a long time of domestication they have evolved into domestic geese.
